Urban Decay Naked 1 | Review

Urban Decay are famous for their buttery, smooth and pigmented eye shadows and their Naked 1 was the original palette that kicked off all the hype.

Housed in felt brown casing with a large mirror are 12 smooth, pigmented warm-toned neutral eye shadows. This palette is every neutral lovers dream - me included!
With a mix of matte, shimmer and glittery shades you can get so many looks out of the palette, from a matte everyday eye or a brown smoky eye (my favourite). The shades blend together beautifully and last all day - I pair it with their Primer Potion for extra staying power.

Shade Descriptions:
- Virgin: Cool Pale Beige Shimmer
- Sin: Champagne Shimmer
- Naked: Nude Matte
- Sidecar: Beige Shimmer with Silver Micro-Glitter
- Buck: Fawn Brown Matte
- Half Baked: Golden Bronze Shimmer
- Smog: Deep Coppery Bronze Shimmer
- Darkhorse: Deep Mocha Shimmer
- Toasted: Antique Copper Penny Shimmer
- Hustle: Plum-Brown Satin
- Creep: Onyx Shimmer with Gold Sparkle
- Gunmetal: Dark Metallic Gray Shimmer with Silver Micro-Glitter

If you don't own this palette already - I'm sure most of you will - definitely pick it up, it is so worth the £38 price tag. Feel Unique have it on offer for £34.20 at the moment too!

I need to get my hands on the smoky palette now!

What's your favourite UD palette?

Did you catch my last post? The Weekly Top Five #5

The Weekly Top Five #5

Another week, another Weekly Top Five! I'm currently listening to Metallica while writing this post and they are giving me so much motivation! Who is your favourite band (off on a tangent)?

Blogging has been such a big favourite this past month and especially this week. I have finally got my blogging mojo back and its in full swing. I love writing, I love reading other posts and I really enjoy commenting on other blogs. It makes my day when someone comments on my blog so I like to spread the love!

Maybelline's Fit Me Foundation and L'Oreal's True Match are perfect when mixed together. Maybelline is too yellow in shade and L'Oreal is pink and oxidises. Mixing them together creates a perfect medium-coverage dewy base. I've always overlook

Seventeen as a brand but their Va Va Voom mascara is perfect! The large bristle brush gives so much volume - an almost false lash effect.

Last of my favourites is Makeup Revolution's Sugar and Spice Palette, it as eight gorgeous blush, contour and highlight shades. A bargain at £6 too!

What have been your favourites recently?

Did you catch this post? Sigma E40 Review

Sigma E40 | Review

Say hello to the best blending brush I have ever tried. Sigma's E40 is well-loved and for a very good reason. It's a big fluffy blending brush that effortlessly blends eye shadow.

I use this eye shadow brush every time I wear make-up. It's great for laying down a transition shade and blending out harsh edges. It's the only Sigma brush I have tried and I want to try so many more!

The E40 is soooo soft and I literally cannot praise it enough! If you can get your hands on it then do, it's a must-have!

Have you tried any brushes from Sigma? I really want to try the F80 next!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Base Corrector Palette | Review

I think everyone knows by now that Makeup Revolution are the biggest brand to come out of 2014. MUR are a hit with beauty bloggers and make-up lovers with their big range of products and affordable prices. Today I will be sharing with you their Ultra Base Corrector Palette*.

Housed in their standard black plastic - but sturdy - palette with a large mirror, there are eight shades designed for all skin tones to correct problem areas on the face.

From L-R:
Pink - brightens
Lavender - neutralises yellow tones
Green - neutralises redness
Orange - neutralises blue tones
Peach - balances out slight discolouration (blue tones)
White - adds natural highlight and brightens
Cream - Neutralises purple and covers dark areas
Brown - balances ashiness in medium to dark skin tones

These are cream correctors and due to their cream formula they blend in effortlessly and quickly. My favourite shade is orange as I have horrific dark circles and this shade helps to cancel them out.
For £6 this palette is an absolute bargain, I definitely recommend it if you suffer with discolouration of any kind.

What are your favourite products from Makeup Revolution?

Gemporia Necklace | Review

Today I will be sharing with you this beautiful necklace from Gemporia. Gemporia is a brand that I had never heard of but boy do they have some gorgeous pieces. I chose this Amarelo Beryl and White Topaz Sterling Silver necklace* (it's currently not in stock, but they have other amazing pieces).
The necklace is gorgeous and compliments the simplest of outfits. I wore this necklace on my graduation day and it complimented my black and white dress perfectly. Its a dainty piece and the topaz stone sparkles in the light (which the camera didn't pick up, damn you phone).
Gemporia have a range of necklaces ranging from £9 up to a more lavish £1000. So whatever your budget there will be something for you.
What's your favourite item of jewellery to wear? Mine is definitely necklaces.

PS! Did you catch my last post? Valley Mill Soaps Review

Valley Mill Soaps | Review

Although soaps can be fussy and awkward to use in the shower sometimes (I am so clumsy and most likely always drop them) I love how moisturizing and natural they are. I’m a big fan of soaps from Lush, but today I am sharing with you two soaps from Valley Mill.

First up is their Tea Tree & WitchHazel soap, which smells incredible – I am a big lover of tea tree. I suffer with breakouts on my chest and back – hormonal, ugh – and I love using this on those areas as it helps clear my skin with the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel.  As both are known for their anti-bacterial purposes.

Second up is there Bergamont and Basil, which I'm not a big fan of personally. I just really do not like the scent. Saying that, these soaps are so moisturising and lather up nicely.

If you're looking for 100% natural soaps then definitely give Valley Mill a try. I really want to try their Rosemary & Lime soap next as it sounds delicious!

The Sunday Edit #24 | Penshaw Monument & Herrington Country Park

This week Michael and I took a trip up to Penshaw Monument and it was rather beautiful. The views from the top are incredible. If you are going to Penshaw do wear suitable footwear - heeled boots gave me quite some hassle getting up to the top...

We came across Herrington Country Park while we were around Penshaw and we wish that we  had discovered it sooner, it is so beautiful there. Next time Sunderland is graced with a lovely sunny day we are definitely going to go for a walk around and have a picnic.

Now enough of my rambles, enjoy some of my photos from our little trip.
