Urban Decay Smoky Palette | Review & Swatches

Urban Decay's latest palette release went down a treat in the blogosphere and I think it's their best palette yet...
With 12 never-before-seen shades with a range of mattes, shimmers and glitters it's the perfect palette to create a sultry smoky eye or a simply daytime look.
The shadows are buttery, pigmented and everything you would expect from an Urban Decay Eye Palette. The only shade that isn't as pigmented as the rest is Armour because it's a glitter. With a deep grey base or a black base it really helps Armour pop.
Shade breakdown from UD's website:

High: cream shimmer w/micro-glitter
Dirtysweet: medium bronze
Radar: metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter
Armor: metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle
Slanted: light metallic gray
Dagger: medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer
Black Market: jet-black satin
Smolder: deep plum-taupe
Password: cool taupe matte
Whiskey: rich brown matte
Combust: soft pink-taupe
Thirteen: light beige satin
I'm a huge fan of a smoky eye so this palette has soared straight to joint top of my favourite palettes, sharing the top spot with LORAC's Pro 2.
If you're a big fan of eye shadow and smoky eyes I would definitely pick up Urban Decay's Smoky Palette - it's perfect!

Makeup Revolution Flawless Mattes | Review

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you now that I absolutely adore Makeup Revolution, the quality for such an affordable price is unbeatable...

Today's pick from the huge MUR range is their Flawless Mattes Palette. I've lusted over this palette for ages and as soon as I saw it in the Metrocentre's Superdrug - amazing Superdrug by the way - I swooped in and headed straight to the tills.

The Flawless Mattes Palette is an all-matte eye shadow palette with an amazing 32 shadows housed in MUR standard black plastic - but sturdy - packaging. The palette is a little bigger than their normal palettes but the pans are smaller, I wish they were bigger so it was that little bit easier to pack on the product onto a brush.

In terms of quality these are ace, the pigmentation is there and they're smooth and not too powdery. The shade selection is awesome and there are so many great transition colours for a variety of looks! I can see myself getting so much use out of this amazing palette.

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Lipsticks | Review & Swatches

Throne
Magical
Pink Myth
Legend
Horn of Magic
Throne, Horn of Magic, Legend, Pink Magic, Magical
Makeup Revolution recently released their Unicorns Unite lipsticks*, there are five shades in the range. A blue, two purples, a pink and blue. All of the shades are metallic and look awesome on the lips.

These lipsticks are a bargain at £1 each! Although they may not be something you would wear on a daily basis they would be great for fancy dress and Halloween. The pink is a super wearable shade though and looks so pretty on the lips.

For £1 I wasn't expecting much - they're not the best lipsticks - but they're also a bargain for the price that they are. They're highly metallic which is great as not many lipsticks are so they are perfect for special occasions.

I would pair the lipsticks underneath a lip liner - Makeup Revolution have some bright ones too - because it does take a bit of building to reach a high intensity colour.

Overall I do think these are great and my favourite shade is Horn of Magic, it would be the perfect lip colour for a mermaid look.

Have you tried the Unicorns Unite lipsticks?

The Sundae Edit #26 | Michael's Birthday & Creams Newcastle

Welcome back to another Sundae edit - hur hur, see what I did there? I can't take full credit for the witty title though, it's courtesy of my boyfriend Michael... But ssssh.

This week Michael turned 23 so we celebrated in Newcastle at Lola Jeans for dinner - so yum - and we stopped off at Creams for dessert - which was incredible! If you're around the Newcastle area then definitely check it out, the desserts were huge and so yummy!

I haven't really got much to say in this Sundae edit - I've been working all week - but I wanted to show the awesome desserts!

What have you been up to this week?

Lush Wish List

With my Lush stash nearly empty I need to pick up some more products from Lush. So today I'm sharing with you some of the bits I have my eye on...

With Christmas just around the corner - I know, the year is flying by so fast - I obviously have a few Christmas products on my wish list.

First up is Peeping Santa, look how cute it is! It's a fruity one with strawberry-sweet bergamot and geranium oils.

I've never tried a shampoo bar before but I've seen quite a few bloggers raving about them lately. Jason and the Argan Oil is rose jam scented, mmm!

I've always wanted to try Golden Wonder because it has little starts inside and it's shaped like a present! So perfect for Christmas and I bet it smells divine.

Bath melts are my favourite product from Lush as I love the way they leave my skin feeling so soft and smelling amazing. Last year they released Star Light, Star Bright and I loved that one. I hope Snow Angel is similar.

I'm a big fan of The Comforter Bubble Bar and Bah Humbug looks super similar with glitter and a liquorice scent, mm!

Intergalactic seems to be well-loved amongst bloggers and I just have to try it!

Is there anything on your wish list?

Milani Baked Blushes | Review

Berry Amore
Fantastico Mauve
Luminoso
Luminoso, Berry Amore, Fantastico Mauve
I'm sure you have all heard about Milani Baked Blushes by now as they're an amazing blusher at a great affordable price. I recently bought three off of a lovely lafy on a sales page and I couldn't be more pleased!

Milani say that: "This silky blush with benefits can be used so many ways. It shapes, it contours, it highlights. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, it’s build-able build-able from sheer to vibrant. Yes, it adds a cheeky pop of colour to your complexion. Radiance and warmth, too."

Housed in a gorgeous gold compact with a mirror and small brush underneath, the baked formula is simply stunning to look at.

All three of the shades I have are all identical in formula, they're creamy, pigmented, shimmery and add a gorgeous glow to the face. Although they're shimmery there isn't random specks of glitter all over the cheeks.

Luminoso is a peachy pink that leans more peach than pink on my skin tone. It's a gorgeous shade and will compliment so many different skin tones.

Berry Amore is a deep pink with a hint of berry. It has gold specks of glitter running through it and is the most glittery of the three.

Fantastic Mauve is the deepest of the shades with a hint of purple. This shade is gorgeous on pale skin for a flushed look.

Milani can be purchased in the UK, hooray! You can purchase Milani from AmazonBeauty Crowd or Cocktail Cosmetics. All of the blushes retail for £6 which is a bargain considering the quality and size of the pans. I definitely want more!
