Daniella's Stash #2 - Huge Haul & First Impressions

Good afternoon lovelies! Today I will be sharing with you another instalment of Daniella's Stash. I do have an addiction to buying make-up, but hey, we are all addicts here... Right?!
The Balm Mary Lou
First up is The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer. This has been on my wishlist for ages and I finally got around to picking it up. I love a strong highlight and The Balm's Mary Lou does exactly that.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
What would a haul be without picking up another Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer? At £4.19 it is the cheapest and best concealer on the market. You can read my full review here.
Estee Lauder Double Wear
I picked this up when House of Fraser were having a £10 off deal. I can't remember what exactly the deal was but I got £10 discount off Double Wear. This is my holy grail foundation and I love it so much! P.S I did send it with a little note for a humorous touch... You can read my full review here.
FaceB4 Anti-Bacterial Face Wash and Serum*
I was sent the FaceB4 Anti-Bacterial Face Wash* and Serum* to test out and review. I'm still working on testing it out but I have tried the serum before and really liked it. Expect a full blog post soon!
Garnier Softening Toner
This is a product I have tried before and I really liked it. Although it is quite high in denatured alcohol I don't find it to be stripping to my skin. I like that it soothes and softens and it smells lovely!
Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo & Conditioner
I picked the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo & Conditioner up from Wilko recently as I needed a more nourishing formula as I find the John Frieda Go Blonder range can dry out my hair a little. So far I really like both, they are nourishing and they smell super nice.
Good Things Purifying Cleanser
I haven't tried anything form the Good Things range before but after browsing in Boots I thought I would give it a try. There are no nasty ingredients in the Good Things range and it doesn't upset my skin. I've been using this for my second cleanse to rebalance by skin and help calm breakouts. It smells like mango and blueberry, as the name suggests (mmmm)!
Rimmel Good to Glow Liquid Highighter
I'm so happy to see a highlight offering from the drugstore as I find them to be quite rare! Rimmel's new Good to Glow highlight is a liquid illuminator that, I like to pop it on the top of my cheekbones and it gives a nice, radiant glow that isn't too glittery.
HD Brows Lip Gloss*
I'm not a huge lip gloss wearer as I hate sticky formulas and hair in my mouth (it is very windy in Sunderland) but this HD Brows Lip Gloss* has me totally converted! Full review coming soon.
L'Oreal La Palette Nude, Beige
I was really excited to purchase the L'Oreal La Palette Nude, Beige because of all the rave amongst the blogosphere. I've used a few times and I'm not blown away... The pigment of the colours isn't amazing and they aren't easy to blend. I'm going to play with it a bit more but so far, I'm not impressed. What are your thoughts if you have tried it?
Maybelline Brow Drama
I've been upping my brow game recently and trying different products. Maybelline Brow Drama is a strange product that has a really weird wand. I like the idea of it but I find my Rimmel Brow This Way to be much easier.
Maybelline The Falsies
Maybelline The Falsies is one of my holy grail mascaras. I love that it gives volume and length and the waterproof version doesn't budge. I'm obsessed with the Lash Sensational Mascara but I wish Maybelline would bring out a waterproof version because my eyes are super watery.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink
This is my third shade out of the Creme Puff Blush collection. I am obsessed! The finish of the blush is beautiful and it gives the cheeks such a luminous flush look.
Quick Fix Facial Masks
Another new addition to my skincare routine are these face masks from Quick Fix Facials. I've never heard of the brand before but I loved the packaging and the claims, plus they were on offer in Boots! The red mask is for moisture and the green for blemishes. I really do like them so far and they are a great "quick fix" as the name suggests.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Powder
I picked this up hoping it would be a beloved dupe for my MAC Studio Fix Powder review here and it is! Apart from the smell of the Rimmel offering the formula is a complete dupe. I do reach for my MAC one more as the smell of the Rimmel powder does put me off a bit.
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer
This is a repurchase as my last one had broken and wasn't easy to use. I do like the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer, I have super dark circles underneath my eyes (looks like I have been punched or something, damn pale skin!) and it corrects them. The formula is nice and creamy so it doesn't crease or dry out the skin.
Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It AHA Facial Scrub
I've never head anyone talk about this product but the formula intrigued me. I've been wanting to try a chemical exfoliator for a while but they are all quite pricey. I saw the Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It at Boots and I was enticed by the fact it was a grainy scrub with AHA's packed in. You scrub the product on your face and leave it there for two minutes and it gets rid of dead skin and leaves your skin soft and smooth. I'm probably not making much sense but it is such a good idea for a product and it actually works without damaging the skin.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash, Pore Minimiser & Tea Tree Oil
I haven't tried anything from The Body Shop before but I know that their Cool & Creamy range is raved amongst beauty bloggers. I suffer from breakouts so I thought I would give it a whirl. So far I am enjoying everything, especially the Cool & Creamy Wash. It makes my skin feel amazing and refreshed whilst clearing my breakouts.
Urban Decay Primer Potion Original
I had the travel size of the Primer Potion and I adore it, once that one ran out I picked up the full-size version. I have oily lids so I need something to glue my eyeshadow down. Primer Potion does exactly that, love it!
Zoeva 221
Zoeva 227

Zoeva brushes are some of the most beautiful brushes I have seen (the rose gold set though, yet to be mine) so I picked two of their eye brushes up. The brushes are super soft and great for blending out eyeshadow. The 221 is a more domed blending brush and the 227 is a supposed dupe of MAC's 217. I love the 221 more than the 227 as it is great for blending shadow out into the crease. I definitely need more!
So that was quite a big haul! I hope you enjoyed this post, don't forget to comment below with what you have picked up recently, I would love to know. Have a lovely day!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation Review

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude foundation

GUEST BLOGGER LAUREN: Holy Grail Products

Hey guys! My name is Lauren and I blog on Cupcakes and Candyfloss Blog. When Daniella offered me the opportunity to create a guest blogpost I grabbed the opportunity with both hands because I would love to interact with you guys, her lovely and loyal readers.

I love make-up and if you are anything like me then you will too. The satisfaction of going to Boots, Superdrug or maybe even a high-end shop is thrilling (I experienced my first MAC visit earlier on this week and to check out my haul, click here).

July Empties & Mini Reviews - Make-up

Today I'll be sharing with you the make-up products that I have used up in the month of July. I never normally have any empty make-up products so you can really tell that I have loved something if I've used it all up! I'll be posting a separate empties post of all the skin care items I have finished so look out for that.

Maybelline Baby Skin: This is a pore perfecting and skin smoothing primer. I did really like this product, it fills pores and makes the skin silky soft. It can be a bit greasy though but when I had dry skin I found that it helped my foundation not stick to dry patches.
Would I repurchase?
Yes, at £7.99 it's a good alternative to Porefessional.

Top 10 Under £10

Hi lovelies, I hope you are all having a wonderful day. Today I will be sharing with you my top ten products under £10. I love drug-store products so I thought this would be an interesting way to show you my favourites.

Current Drug-store Favourites

Hi lovelies, I hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather, I certainly am! Following on from my current high-end favourites post I will be sharing the more affordable side in my current drug-store products.

REVIEW: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Hi lovelies, I hope you are all having a great day. Today I will be reviewing Rimmel's Match Perfection foundation. Overall I love Rimmel, they have great quality affordable make-up and I especially love their lipsticks.

This foundation used to be my holy grail a year or so ago, I wasn't into wearing loads of make-up but foundation was always a must-have for me. I used to love this foundation because at the time the drugstore shade range was awful, "ivory" was two shades darker than my skin tone and gave me the dreaded orange tide-line, until I found this beauty.

Collective Haul

Yes, that's right this is the second haul this week. It's true, I have a make-up addiction and it needs to be tamed (well I don't think so, but my boyfriend does aha).

March Empties and Mini Reviews!

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all doing well. Today I'm sharing with you a few empty products from the beginning of the year, I've just called this March empties because I'm going to try and do this every month.

Batiste Dry Shampoo: This is the best dry shampoo I've tried. It doesn't dry the hair, it soaks up the oil and it leaves your hair feeling fresh. Out of the two above Graffiti is my favourite as it smells amazing.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

VO5 Ultimate Hold: It's definitely ultimate hold this stuff! I think it's a bit too heavy for my hair though.
Would I repurchase? Well you can see in the background that I already have but the high volume one and it's not as hard on my hair. Success!

VO5 Heat Protection Spray: I'm not really fussy when it comes to heat protection sprays, I just make sure that they're a well-known brand so I know that it's going to protect my hair. This seems to do the job and I do like it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

Garnier Mineral Deodorant: I always look what deo is on offer in Wilko and it's always this one. Being the cheapo I am I always get it and it is really nice. It smells nice, isn't too powdery and it makes me smell fresh.
Would I repurchase? Look in the background, I already have aha!

L'Oreal La Touche Magique Concealer: I love this concealer, it brightens, conceals and it comes in many shades. The only problem I had is that went so quickly so I don't think there's much product in the tube!
Would I repurchase? Yes.

Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeliner: This eye liner is my holy grail, I love everything about it.
Would I repurchase? Of course!

L'Oreal Micellar Water: I've done a full review on this product and I don't love it. It does the job but it stings my eyes way too much!
Would I repurchase it again? No.

Simple Anti-Blemish Moisturiser: I enjoyed using this product but I didn't see a massive different in my blemishes and it isn't hydrating enough for my skin.
Would I repurchase it? No.

What did you enjoy this month? Are there any products you're going to repurchase?

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks Review and Swatches

A few weeks ago I bought two of the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte lipsticks (I say bought, I got them with my Boots points, aha). These lipsticks are on offer for £3.99 at the moment in Boots so it's a great bargain to be had!

A year ago I did purchase one of these lipsticks and I loved it so I bought it again, but it took me a long time to actually purchase it but I'm so glad I did.

First off lets start with the packaging. It's beautiful, I love the colour of the container and I love how "Kate" is signed on too.

The two shades I picked up were 110 (had this one before) and 107. 110 is a beautiful pink/coral colour and it's perfect for spring/summer or if you want to add to your make-up with a bold lip. 107 is a gorgeous dark plum shade and it's perfect purple as it isn't too bright.

110 top & 107 bottom

I love a Matte finish and it's hard to find good ones at the drugstore as there isn't that many. The only downfall to this product is that it does dry your lips out and the wear isn't long at around 1-2 ish hours. But if you're okay with reapplying throughout the day then I definitely recommend this.

What's your favourite finish? Matte or gloss?

Overpriced Make-Up: Mascara

When I'm looking for a mascara I always head over to Rimmel because I know I'm going to get a good quality one that suits what I'm looking for. But I've always thought that mascara's are too overpriced compared to other beauty products.

When comparing the price of foundation and mascara there is literally pence in the difference, it boggles me how brands can charge so much for mascara when they only go on a fraction of your face. You can get a foundation from Rimmel for £6.99 and you can get a mascara also from Rimmel for £6.99. Foundation goes all over your face whereas you can buy a mascara that only goes on your eyes for the same price which makes no sense, really.

From Boots the cheapest drugstore mascara is £1.99 and the most expensive drugstore mascara is £12.95. I would never pay over £10 for a mascara because I think they're way too overpriced for what it actually is. Supposedly the more you pay the better quality it is but with some drugstore mascara's this isn't true.

I'll always be loyal to my Rimmel mascara's as they're great and sometimes can be found on offer with £5, a reasonable price for a drugstore mascara.

I'd love to know what you guys think! Do you agree with me? Or do you think mascara's are reasonably priced?
