NYX #Nofilter Finishing Powder | Review

I'm always on the lookout for trying new products, especially powders as I go through them so quickly. I love that NYX has branched out into Boots as they're such a fab brand. Here's my review of their #nofilter Finishing Powder...

Housed in a sturdy black casing, the powder is finely milled and almost looks like a baked product. My only gripe with the packaging is that it doesn't contain a mirror, I love powder compacts that have a mirror as it's perfect for touch-ups.

The formula of the powder is buttery, soft and isn't powdery on the skin. It sets down my foundation perfectly and is great for touching up throughout the day. It's lightweight and doesn't add coverage which is fine for me as I wear a full-coverage foundation.

NYX offer many powders and I definitely want to try more!

Makeup Geek Ice Queen & Poppy Eyeshadows | Review & Swatches

Makeup Geek Ice Queen & Poppy

Makeup Geek Poppy and Ice Queen Swatches

Makeup Geek eyeshadows are some of my favourite and I can't wait until my Z Palette is full of gorgeous shades. Two recent additions are Poppy and Ice Queen and I'm obsessed!

Poppy is a matte orange-red and looks gorgeous blown out into the crease. It's pigmented, smooth and vibrant on the eyelid.

Ice Queen is a frosty, shimmery white and looks amazing as an inner corner highlight or a browbone highlight. It's pigmented, smooth and creamy like Poppy.

I love using both of the shades to create a simple halo eye with Ice Queen in the centre.

I can't fault Makeup Geek eyeshadows and I love all of the shades I have. What's your favourite shade?

Purelogical Super Antioxidant Moisturiser | Review

I'm always on the hunt for new skincare and recently I've been testing out Purelogical's Super Antioxidant Moisturiser *.

It's free from alcohol, artificial colours, artificial perfume and parabens. It contains age-fighting ingredients designed to reduce wrinkles and hydrate the skin for a more youthful complexion.

Although I'm only 23 and wrinkle-free, I might as well combat aging as soon as I can. At the moment though my skin is super dehydrated and it definitely needs a pick-me-up and this moisturiser is just that.

It's a thick white cream that sinks into the skin providing a burst of hydration. I wake up in the morning with the softest skin. I've noticed my foundation has stopped breaking up due to lack of hydration too, which is great.

Purelogical's Super Antioxidant Moisturiser does retail for a pricey £57.00 but it's sometimes best to invest into your skincare. I've noticed lately that a lot of drugstore brands have drying alcohol in their products which really sucks!
