Primark Longwear Mineralised Foundation | Review

Primark are having a moment right now with their beauty range, the range has a great selection of products for different skin tones, types and different products. The PS…Pro Longwear Mineralized Foundation has really caught my attention.

Priced at an affordable £5, the PS…Pro Foundation is housed in a sleek glass bottle with a handy black pump. The shade porcelain is perfect for my pale complexion and I find I don’t need to lighten it with NYX’s Foundation Mixer in White.

The consistency is quite thick but it blends out effortlessly. My preferred application is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge. The coverage is medium-to-full and it’s definitely buildable. It looks flawless on the skin and easily lasts over eight hours, I probably wear mine from 6.30am until 8.00pm and it looks great, with a little shine creeping through.

It does resemble Estee Lauder Double Wear and that is my holy grail foundation. For £5 it really is worth a try!

*I picked up this foundation for £2 the other day!

NYX Foundation Mixer - White | Review

When NYX announced their UK arrival into Boots stores I was so excited for the Pro Foundation Mixer in white. I'm so pale I haven't found a foundation that exactly matches my ghostly complexion, so this product is my saviour!

Its creamy formula mixes into your foundation without altering the consistency or coverage. I use this everytime I apply foundation and I couldn't be without it!

It's purse-friendly at £7.50 and definitely lasts a while, considering how much I actually need to lighten the foundation...

With a range of shades NYX have: opal, luminous, deep, olive and warmth - they have every base covered!

L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation | Review

I was so excited to see this foundation hit the UK drugstore's so soon. After seeing one of my favourite American YouTuber's Tati sing its praises I knew I had to try it!

Foundation Favourites - Drug-store Edition

Today I will be sharing with you my top three drug-store affordable foundations. I don’t own many high-end foundations so the majority of mine are good old drug-store! The high-street have definitely upped their game with foundations and I can actually now find a good colour match for my ghostly pale skin.

REVIEW: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

Hi lovelies, I hope you are all having a great day. Today I will be reviewing Rimmel's Match Perfection foundation. Overall I love Rimmel, they have great quality affordable make-up and I especially love their lipsticks.

This foundation used to be my holy grail a year or so ago, I wasn't into wearing loads of make-up but foundation was always a must-have for me. I used to love this foundation because at the time the drugstore shade range was awful, "ivory" was two shades darker than my skin tone and gave me the dreaded orange tide-line, until I found this beauty.

High End Luxuries

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all doing well today. I'm currently trying to revise for exams and it is not going well... I have some great news first and foremost, my blog hit 10,000 views yesterday!!! I've only been blogging since January and I'm so happy to have all these views so quickly! So I'd like to thank you all so much for supporting me and reading my blog.

REVIEW & SWATCHES: L'Oreal True Match Foundation

Possibly the most talked about foundation amongst us beauty bloggers is L'Oreal's True Match foundation. There has been so much hype around this product and as a beauty blogger I couldn't not try it! I've had this for a few months now so I'm ready to give my full thoughts on it.

L'Oreal True Match

I must admit at first I didn't like it, I'm used to a super heavy matte coverage and this foundation isn't quite that. When my skin turned really dry I couldn't use my normal foundations because they stuck to my face and left it really patchy. Not a good look, I can assure you... So I then turned to this beauty and oh my goodness, lemme tell you now, the hype is needed as it is THAT good. I now consider this baby my holy grail foundation.

One pump

Rubbed once

Blended in

It blends really well and as you can see from the picture above my skin still looks like skin, it isn't orange and it has coverage. I'd say the coverage is medium but it can be built up or sheered out, depending on your preferences. I use two pumps and it gives me great coverage that isn't too heavy.

The shade range is amazing, it caters for light to dark skin and pink, yellow and neutral undertones! Amazing for a drugstore foundation right? I have the lightest shade I believe and that's Ivory Rose, it's the perfect match for my skin and I love it!

What are your thoughts?

March Wishlist

Every month I'm going to do a monthly wishlist. Loads of beauty products come out all the time and lets be honest who doesn't love buying new things?!

I've just come across the website Polyvore and omg it makes wishlist posts so easy! If you haven't already check it out, it's an amazing website.

Here is my current March wishlist...

March Wishlist

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush: Now just look at it (top left) aren't they just the most beautiful blushes that you've ever seen?! I'm not sure what shade I want but they're just so so beautiful.

Mac Eyeshadow Quad: Every YouTuber that I watch has a stash of MAC eye shadows, they look so beautiful and so pigmented. I really want to start my own pallet but I couldn't afford to fill a bigger pan up just yet.

Urban Decay Naked 3: This is at the top of my wishlist and has been for a while but at £37 I could never justify spending it. As soon as I've saved up I'm getting this beautiful pallet, it's so perfect for spring!

Urban Decay All Nighter Make-Up Setting Spray: My make-up never stays on all day and I've seen a few bloggers rave about this and I'd love to try it.

L'oreal Magic Lumi primer: My skin is so dull and lacking radiance, this primer looks perfect for my dull skin needs.

Revlon Matte Balms: I do have a lacquer balm but I don't like it that much. I really want a matte one as I hate transfer when I'm eating food and I'm assuming the matte ones would personally be better for me.

Collection 2000 concealer: I'm sure most of you have heard everybody rave about this concealer, I've never tried it and that needs to change.

Vaseline Spray and Go moisturiser: Do I need to say more?! I'm so lazy when it comes to moisturiser, when I come out of the shower I just want to put my PJ's on and relax. I don't want to wait for moisturiser to dry and this looks the perfect fix for that.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation: I have terrible skin and I need a heavy coverage foundation. This looks great and it comes in quite a few different shades too.

That's all for my March wishlist, I hope I can save some pennies to purchase some of these products.

What's on your wishlist this month?

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review

If you read my February favourites you would have seen this beauty before on my blog.

I purchased the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge a few weeks ago from Boots at £5.99. It's the cheapest of all the Real Techniques products. After a good few weeks of testing it out it's safe to say that it is my favourite.

Many of you may have seen this being compared to the American beauty blender. I haven't tried it as it's so expensive for a sponge! Plus I have no idea where to buy it in the UK. That being said I think this sponge is a steal for £5.99.

It has three sides: a rounded side, a precision tip and a flat edge. I tend not to use the rounded side for applying my foundation. I largely apply it with the flat edge, I use dabbing and stippling motions to even out the foundation on my face. The flat edge is excellent at getting underneath the eyes to push concealer onto the skin. The precision tip is the perfect size to help conceal spots with gentle pushing motions.

Flat side

Precision tip

Rounded side

Please excuse how dirty my sponge is, I've been busy and haven't had time to clean it.

I much prefer this sponge to a brush because it doesn't leave strokes on my face. It leaves a smooth flawless application, much like you've been airbrushed.

The only downside I've found with this product it's started to wear a little and I'm not sure if this is from washing it. I try and wash it every time I've used it as the sponge can build bacteria and I don't want to be spreading it all over my face. Do you have any recommendation's that you've found work to clean your sponge without damaging it please let me know!

Have you tried the miracle complexion sponge or the Beauty Blender? What are your thoughts? Comment below as I'd love to hear your thoughts.

February Favourites

Hello March, lets hope you will be warmer... So it's that time of the month again for the favourites posts! These are my favourite types of posts as I love hearing about what other people have been loving this month and getting some recommendations.

My favourites will be divided into beauty, skincare and haircare. I've been loving a lot this month. I hope you enjoy!

Beauty favourites
L'Oreal Intense Lipstick 290: I'm not one for purple lipsticks but this shade is gorgeous. It says it's for blondes and it does compliment my hair colour well. It's perfect for that sexy vampy look.

L'Oreal Infallible 24hr foundation: This foundation is amazing. Like seriously, so amazing for £9.99! I love high coverage as I have bad skin and this covers it it beautifully.

MAC Studio Finish Concealer: This is the best concealer I've tried. It hides spots and dark circles completely and it doesn't crease when set with powder.

MAC Dainty Mineralise Blush: If you've seen my MAC collection you would have seen this gorgeous blush. It's my favourite blush ever, it's natural and so so pretty.

Sleek Face Kit: This contour kit is a must in every girls make-up bag. I'm really pale and the brown contour suits my skin so well without looking muddy.

Benefit Porefessional: I love how well this fills in my pores and keeps shine at bay all day. It's perfect for my porous skin.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: Holy grail product right here! I only got this a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed with it. Beauty blender who?! I've heard this is great dupe for the beauty blender and it's so much cheaper! Expect a full review soon.

Now that's all for my beauty favourites. Lets move onto skincare...

Skincare favourites

Recently I've changed up my skincare routine and my skin looks a lot better.

LUSH Mask of Magnanimity: I use this two, maybe three times a week and it helps reduce my angry spots. A major plus is that when it's dried and you scrub it off it exfoliates the skin and leaves it so so smooth. It smells amazing and it feels like you're at a spa with it's fresh cooling fragrance.

LUSH Grease Lightening: I use this every morning and night, it helps dry out my spots and heal them quicker. Although it's only a small bottle you only need half a pump to do the job. Perfect!

Neutrogena Spot Stress Control: This takes me back to my teenage years and I'm so glad I've revisited it. It's a perfect everyday face wash, it has micro beads that exfoliate gently, it leaves the skin soft and it smells so good!

Mask of Magnanimity

That's it for skincare, lets move onto haircare.

Haircare favourites

I know what you're thinking, that's a lot of orange... It is. In fact I'm obsessed with Herbal Essences Bee Strong range. It smells amazing, leaves your hair stronger and smoother. What's not to love? I like using all together so my hair keeps that delicious honey smell.

Herbal Essences Bee Strong shampoo and conditioner, Bee Strong hair mask and Bee Strong leave in conditioner.

Bee Strong Hair Mask
I'm definitely repurchasing this when I run out. It's so so good!

That's all for my favourites. I hope you enjoyed! Please leave your favourites post down below, I'd love to read it. :)

MAC Collection

MAC collection

I don't have a lot of MAC products but what I have I love so much! So today I'm sharing with you my small... but growing MAC collection.

I have six products in total, two lipsticks, two blushers, a concealer and foundation. Everything I have is of great quality and long lasting.

The lipsticks that I have are Speed Dial and Speak Louder, they're both gorgeous cremesheen bright pinks. Speed Dial is a light pink and Speak Louder is a deep pink.

Speak Louder (left) Speed Dial (right)
Dainty and Dollymix are the two blushers that I own. They're both pinks but Dainty is a mineralize blush so it has a gorgeous mix of pinks. It's probably my favourite MAC product!

Lastly are my two base products: Studio Finish Concealer and Studio Fix Foundation. Studio Finish Concealer is the best concealer I've tried, it's creamy and it covers up my hideous dark circles with ease. Studio Fix Fluid is my favourite foundation, it gives a flawless matte coverage, which I love!

Maybelline Baby Skin

Hello lovelies, sorry this blogpost is late, I’ve been busy with Uni revising for exams but phew, they’re over for now!

So today I’m reviewing Maybelline’s Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser and I must admit I was quite excited to try this as its arrival was hugely anticipated here in the UK. At first when I went to buy this it was out of stock in both Superdrug and Boots but the day after it was finally in stock and I couldn’t wait to buy it!

First off let’s start with the packaging. It’s a super cute tube with pink writing and a green background, the colours work well together and it looks appealing to the eye. I like that Maybelline have chosen to put this product in a tube because it’s easy to squirt it out and not a lot of product comes out at once so you never use too much.

Maybelline's Baby Skin Primer

Maybelline state that: “Pores appear instantly erased for smooth-looking skin”. I agree with this mostly but I was expecting for my pores to be gone completely and they are at most so that’s a plus. The best part of this product is definitely the formula. It’s a clear gel that adds no colour to the skin and can be applied in layers to minimize your pores almost completely. The gel glides over the skin blocking up the pores so no foundation can sink into it, it does give you baby smooth skin and it does make my foundation last all day.
I definitely recommend this product as it is really good and it’s only £7/8 so if you don’t want to splurge out on the Benefit’s Porefessional then this one is definitely worth a try! I'm contemplating buying Benefit’s porefessional as I haven’t tried any Benefit cosmetics.

Do you recommend Porefessional or any other primers?

January make-up haul

Hello lovelies, I can't blog everyday as I'm a full-time University student. So I plan to blog every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and maybe a few other days if I can fit that in.

Back to the post! So I've been spending quite a lot lately so I've acquired quite a few new things... (I bought all of this myself with my own money)

I've bought the Real Techniques Blush Brush (which you can read about here), Borjous Healthy Mix Serum, two MUA blushers, L'Oreal  La Touche Magique Illuminating Concealer, Revlon Colourstay Foundation, MUA Pro-Base Fixing Mist, Revlon Lash Potion and Revlon Lip butters. I've also bought (that is not pictured) Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser, MUA Highlighter, a MAC blusher and a MAC lipstick.

I've spent quite a lot on all of this but some of it is so so good! I'll be posting reviews about each thing over the past few weeks.

What beauty products have you bought lately?

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

Hello lovelies. Sorry there hasn't been a blog post in a while but I've been super busy doing Uni work and revising for exams. But over the next few days I plan to blog mostly every day.

So a few weeks ago my lovely boyfriend bought me the Studio Fix Foundation from MAC, it is the first high-end product I've tried and I love love love it! It's the best foundation I've ever used and I have tried quite a few!

This foundation gives an all-day flawless finish, it lasts all day and it covers up uneven skin tone, blemishes and redness. It glides over dry patches and keeps the oil at bay so it's pretty perfect for my combination skin. I recommend it for any skin type as it is so so good!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

It's priced at £21.50 and I know that is expensive for a foundation but the quality and lasting power is amazing. It is definitely worth every penny.

The most amazing thing is the shades of the foundation, there are so many shades to choose from! From light to dark and anything in between, so you're going to find the perfect shade for you. As I'm super pale I expected their lightest shade to be too dark for me but it's a perfect match! I got NW10 which stands for "not warm" so it's for cooler tones like pink and NC is "not cool" so it's for warmer tones like yellow. I believe that MAC do their shades backwards with the "not cool" and "not warm" but if you're confused you can go and ask the lovely women of MAC and they will help you find the perfect foundation for yourself.

NW 10

As you can see it's a lovely light shade

The only negative that I have for this foundation is the fact that it doesn't come with a pump, but the pumps can be purchased for an extra £4 (which is a bit expensive, but you only need to get a pimp once) but if you were good at measuring your foundation out there wouldn't be a need to buy one.

I only use my MAC foundation on the days I have a few more breakouts than usual and on special occasions as I don't want it to run out so soon. I'll definitely be purchasing this again though, or maybe try another foundation from the MAC range.

What's your favourite foundation?

Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes

After seeing these brushes all over Instagram and my favourite celebs (Mille Mackintosh, she's perfect) use these brushes I wanted to try them. For applying make-up I'd just use my fingers or a cheap brush from Amazon or Wilkinsons but from hearing so many good things about the Real Techniques brushes I decided to buy them and try them for myself.

They are amazing and so so so soft! They're my prize possession at the moment, I didn't know how important good brushes were to give you that flawless pixel perfect look.

The Real Techniques Core collection brushes are a set of four. A contour brush, a foundation brush, a buffing brush and detailer brush. I got my brushes from Amazon for £15.74, this was the cheapest place that I could find them and they're worth every penny.

The contour brush is used for contouring with highlighter but I use mine to apply my blusher as it's perfect for that too. I use my detailer brush for applying concealer on my imperfections and under my eyes but it can also be used as a lipstick brush. The buffing brush is my favourite brush as it applies powder perfectly as you work it in to the skin so it doesn't sit in fine lines. I also use it to buff my blusher in after I've applied it as it gives a more natural look. Lastly, the foundation brush can be used to build coverage but it's my least favourite as I feel that it isn't big enough to be a foundation brush.

Not only are the brushes amazing they come with a case that's perfect to take on the move and it even stands up so you can display them.

In a few days (when I get my student loan) I'm going to buy the expert face brush as it's great for applying liquid foundation to create a flawless base. If you haven't already got these brushes you should definitely invest!

What's your favourite real techniques brush?
