MaxFactor Creme Puff Blushes | Review

Seductive Pink

Gorgeous Berries
L-R
Lovely Pink, Gorgeous Berries, Seductive Pink
Say hello to my new obsession, the Max Factor Crème Puff Blushers. There are eight in the range and I need to own them all!

The baked marble blushers are housed in a pretty packaging with a gold rim, the clear packaging allows you to see the blush through it so it makes it easy to grab the one I am after while getting ready.

They’ve been hailed as a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes, which I haven’t tried but I can assume that they are quite similar, apart from the hefty price tag! The Max Factor Crème Puff blushes retail for an amazing £8.99.

The shades I have are Lovely Pink, which is a soft baby pink that is perfect for pale skin. Seductive Pink is a deeper pink than Lovely Pink but also great for pale skin. The last shade I have is Gorgeous Berries, this is the deepest most pigmented of the three so I have to be careful not to overdo it. I do love the shade nonetheless.

My favourite part of these blushers is that they are so glowy and sheeny on the cheeks without being ridiculously glittery. The formula is so buttery and it blends out effortlessly.

If you’re looking for a new drugstore blush then check these gorgeous ones out!

Have you tried any of the Max Factor blushers?

Everything Happens For A Reason | Positive Thinking

When something unfortunate happens to me that I didn't "want" I'm the most negative person, I can't accept why things happen and I will be so upset for days - even though it isn't the end of the world -it seems to be the end of the world for me.

I've been struggling lately with feeling positive and not being able to deal with things. Recently Amanda Ensing uploaded a video of "Wants vs Needs" and her video has made me think in a completely different way and now I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. In my situation what happened was a total blessing in disguise and it is going to make me a better person, in a better situation. It may be hard now not knowing what is going to happen but when you think positive it can change your world.

I just wanted to share with you Amanda's video and Shaaanxo's video just in case you haven't seen them. If you are having a bad day then check these videos out. They may change your complete mindset and make you see things in a different light.

Everything happens for a reason.
Positive thoughts lead to a happy and fulfilled life.

The Weekly Top Five #1

Today's post is the first in a new series that I'm kicking off on Freshly Pressed Beauty. I've been slacking with doing monthly favourites so I will be bringing to you my weekly top five instead. It will range from TV, to make-up, food and fashion. I hope you enjoy this new series!
First up is the LORAC Pro 2, this has been my favourite ever since that I got my hands on it. Recently I've hit pan on three shades! I've never hit pan on a eye shadow palette before so this just shows how much I enjoy it. LORAC's Pro Shadows are pigmented, smooth and buttery.
I have no shame in this next favourite, the Kim Kardashian Game... It's just addictive and I'm an A-Lister, aha!
MAC's Toledo Collection hit the beauty market by storm with everyone lusting over something from the collection. I picked up a lipstick in Ox Blood and I love it. I wear it under a pink lip liner so it isn't too peachy brown on my skin tone. It's a matte finish and it has become one of my favourite lipsticks, shame it is limited edition!
Ru Paul's Drag Race is my new favourite addiction. Their make-up, dresses, challenges are amazing, it is so entertaining. If you haven't watched it then get on Netflix now, warning - it gets additive...
My last favourite is Maybelline's Lash Sensational Mascara. This is hands down the best mascara I have used. It gives volume and length without being clumpy. Love!

What are your favourites this week?

L'Oreal La Palette Nude Beige | Review

I'm sorry for the lack of posts over the past week or so, I've been super stressed and blogging hasn't been at the forefront of my mind. I also use my boyfriends phone for pictures and while he is back at home in Leicester it is hard for me to take new pictures of products because me and my phone don't get on in the photography department. Right, enough of that babble and onto the review!
L'Oreal has bought out two, 10 pan eye shadow palettes. One called Beige and the other Rose. The shade range in the Beige palette is gorgeous with a range of brown mattes that make great transition shades and a bold gold to add some sparkle and dimension to a look.
Overall I'm not impressed with the blend-ability of these shadows. I would much rather use my LORAC Pro 2 or Urban Decay. For £14.99 it is a pricey palette at the drugstore and it's rather disappointing. Although saying that, I find two shades perfect for my eyebrows. So perfect I have been using them everyday and I've already hit pan! The sixth shade in is the shadow I use first to define the shape of my brows, I then go in with the ninth shade to add darkness and finish sculpting my brows. I have blonde hair and like dark brows. The shades are a perfect cool tone that don't give a red glow.
All in all the eye shadow palette is alright... If you were travelling and you had blonde brows you could kill two birds with one stone as the shadows are workable. I just prefer my high-end shadows over this.

My Top Tips For All Bloggers - Beginners and Veterans

Over the past year and a half I have picked up a few tips and wish I knew some things as soon as I started. Today I will be sharing with you a few tips that you will hopefully help you, wether you're a newbie or an oldie.
1) Install Google Analytics! Bloggers stats are notoriously wrong as they capture every view - even bots. The sooner you install Google Analytics the better as you will have the most accurate stats. There are a few tutorials to help you install it - if like me, you are a tad confused.

2) Can't do something? Google it! Seriously, Google has been my best friend when it has come to the technical side of blogging. I always Google my queries and I always find an answer from a fellow blogger.

3) Social media! It's the most important thing. Make accounts for your blog; Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, wherever you can post your work the better! Be consistent on all platforms and always use your blog name. It will make it easier for readers to follow you.

4) Be consistent! Now I'm not saying blog every day, as we all know that isn't possible for some people. But when you do post be consistent, wether it be once a week or four times a week. Set a schedule and try and stick to it.

5) Scheduling! If you have the time - and motivation - try and write posts in bulk, one after another. This will allow you to stagger posts across days, weeks so if for some reason you can't post that day you will already have a blog post going up.

6) Don't compare yourself to anyone else, Rome wasn't built in a day! It can be easy to feel down about your blog, especially if you haven't got lots of followers. It all takes time and content is king. Every blogger is unique so don't get hung up about it, you're special and so is your blog.

7) Passion! If you have a passion for what you are writing about it will come through in your writing and feel more authentic to your readers.
There are a few of my top tips for all bloggers.

Have you got a tip that has helped you while blogging?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Range | Review

Tea tree is one of the best ingredients for blemishes. It's natural and can heal blemishes in no time. I've tried a few The Body Shop products and today I will be reviewing a few from the range.
I've always wanted to try the Cool & Creamy wash after hearing many bloggers and YouTubers rave about it. I use this once a day either in the morning or the evening, depending on what cleanser I use. The cooling sensation that the wash gives is great in the mornings as it helps the skin feel awake and it helps me wake up too. I'm certainly not a morning person... It isn't drying for me, personally and it definitely helps clear my skin and soothe any breakouts.
The Tea Tree Oil is a must for anyone who suffer with breakouts, simply dab a drop on the affected area and in the morning the spot will have shrunk and calmed down. For the price I think I will try another brand as I find it doesn't last too long.
Lastly is the Pore Minimising Primer. I would love to say that this worked, but it didn't. It didn't minimise my pores at all. Although it didn't minimise my pores I like the thought of priming with something tea tree, so that it would help breakouts. I occasionally use it depending on how spotty I am. If it did minimise pores it would be perfect.
