L'Oreal Brow Plumper | Review

Brows are all the rage these days with more and more brow products available on the drugstore market... Today I will be sharing with you my favourite brow gel - L'Oreal's Brow Artist Plumper.

After seeing Shaaanxo use it in every make-up tutorial I knew I had to give it a go. I opted for the shade Dark Brunette as I like my brows to be quite dark in comparison with my hair. It matches my brow powder perfectly.

L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper contains little fibres that give the appearance of fuller brows, it works wonders in sparse areas and it does look natural. It sets the brows in place without giving them a crispy hardened look.

It has a teeny brush on the end of a fairly large wand so you can precisly apply the gel. I love Benefit Gimme Brow and the L'Oreal plumper is practically the same and only £6!

If you have sparse brows or are looking for a new brow gel then I definitely recommend checking this one out!

Kiko Velvet Mat Lipsticks - 613 & 614 | Review & Swatches

613 Pink Carnation
614 Dark Berry
Top - Dark Berry, Bottom - Pink Carnation

I'm back! Well you probably didn't even miss me, did you? I haven't had a chance to blog in what seems like forever. The combination of full-time retail at Christmas and lack of motivation has caused me to put Freshly Pressed Beauty on the back burner and catch up on soaps and sleep instead... Today I'm feeling super motivated so hopefully I can produce a few blog posts while the motivation is at its peak!

Now enough of that rambling and lets talk lipsticks!

Back in November I took a cheeky trip to Kiko in Newcastle and picked up a few goodies, you can see my haul here.

I picked up two shades of their Velvet Mat Lipsticks, 613 Pink Carnation and 614 Dark Berry. I'm a huge fan of matte lipsticks and for £6.90 each you can't really say no!

Pink Carnation is a mid-tone pink with a mauve undertone - my favourite! When applied to the lips this shade is really creamy and needs to be built up to achieve full pigment. It isn't as long wearing as Dark Berry.

Dark Berry is a gorgeous deeper berry that leans on the pink side of purple. It is super pigmented and quite long lasting on the lips without drying them out.

For £6.90 the Kiko Velvet Mat Lipsticks are amazing value for money, they also have amazing packaging too. I definitely want to try some more shades.
