Collection Primed & Ready Invisible Setting Powder | Review

Collection Cosmetics has a great range of products and their Primed & Ready Invisible Setting Powder really intrigued me so I had to try it!

Housed in a sturdy black casing with a clear lid, the powder retails for an
affordable £3.99.

With Witch Hazel its purpose is to help clear your skin while using the product.
Because I suffer from breakouts quite regular I can't say if it does help clear breakouts or not.

The powder itself is finely milled and sets down my base perfectly. It isn't cakey and it doesn't look powdery on the skin, it's also perfect for touchups.

If you're pale like me then you'll be pleased to hear it doesn't make me orange, wahey! So many drugstore powders do it can be hard to find one that doesn't.

I'd definitely recommend this product, it's amazing considering the purse-friendly price.

Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit - Medium Brown | Review

Brows are such an important part of my routine I can't get enough of trying brow products.

Lately, I've been using Kiss's Beautiful Brow Kit* in Medium Brown and it's such a fab little kit.

Housed in a sturdy plastic packaging are two brow shades - a cool brown and a warm brown, highlight, wax, a little brush, spoolie, stencils and a brow razor.

The cool-toned brown is perfect for my brows as I love dark contrasting brows with my silver hair. The shades are pigmented and look natural on the brow hairs.

I love that the kit comes with a highlight shade perfect for popping under the brow. I also love the addition of a brow razor as I find them so much easier than plucking.

If you're after a new kit I'd definitely check out this one from Kiss Cosmetics. I'd love to try more from the brand!

Barry M Flawless Mist & Fix Makeup Setting Spray - Dewy Finish | Review

Setting sprays are my addiction and when I saw Barry M's Mist & Fix I had to pick it up. I love trying new ones and I'm so glad that more drugstore brands are bringing them out.

There are three sprays in the range: Dewy Finish, Matte Finish & a Priming Water. All of the sprays are at a bargainous £4.99!

I use the Dewy Finish spray after finishing my make-up and during the day to give my skin a refresh and it really hydrates my skin and settles the powder into my skin.

I love UD's All Nighter Setting Spray but the Barry M Spray is such a great alternative!

Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit, Medium | Review & Swatches

Seventeen are a brand I often overlook in Boots, I usually head straight to L'Oreal, Maybelline etc. But this Define and Conquer Contour Kit* has really won me over!

Seventeen's Define and Conquer Contour Kit is housed in a sturdy matte black case - similar to Nars - with a good size mirror, a matte highlight and a matte contour shade.

The highlight shade is a pale beige - which if you weren't so pale like me, would make a great under-the-eye-highlight. Although I can't highlight with this shade it does make an excellent face powder as it's finely milled. It leaves a soft matte finish.

Now the contour kit on first glance looks way too warm for pale skin - which is often what has put me off it when swatching it in-store, but how wrong I was! It defines the face very naturally and doesn't look like an orange swipe on my fair skin. I pop a little of Makeup Geek's Contour shade in fair cool right under the cheekbone to give the ultimate chiseled look.

For £5.99 this is a great affordable contour kit! It also comes in the shade Fair, which I would be keen to see how the shades compare (slight poet over here, haha...).

Have you tried this kit? What do you think?

Makeup Revolution Flawless Mattes | Review

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you now that I absolutely adore Makeup Revolution, the quality for such an affordable price is unbeatable...

Today's pick from the huge MUR range is their Flawless Mattes Palette. I've lusted over this palette for ages and as soon as I saw it in the Metrocentre's Superdrug - amazing Superdrug by the way - I swooped in and headed straight to the tills.

The Flawless Mattes Palette is an all-matte eye shadow palette with an amazing 32 shadows housed in MUR standard black plastic - but sturdy - packaging. The palette is a little bigger than their normal palettes but the pans are smaller, I wish they were bigger so it was that little bit easier to pack on the product onto a brush.

In terms of quality these are ace, the pigmentation is there and they're smooth and not too powdery. The shade selection is awesome and there are so many great transition colours for a variety of looks! I can see myself getting so much use out of this amazing palette.

What's your favourite MUR product?

Skincare, Make-Up & Beauty Questions | TAG

I was recently tagged in the Skincare, Make-Up & Beauty Tag by the lovely Alisha, so today I will be sharing with you my answers.

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice. In the morning and at night.

What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
Combination, to normal. My skin has some dry patches and sometimes gets oily but overall it is pretty normal.

What is your current facial wash?
The Good Things Skincare Purifying Facial Cleanser. I have a review here if you would like to read more about it.

Do you buy your make up on eBay?
Nope. I never would. My skin and eyes are way too important to risk using fake make-up which eBay is mainly full of.

Do you like drugstore make up?
Of course! There are some right gems in the drugstore. Sometimes price doesn't affect quality.

Do you go to CCO’s?
Nope! I really want to go to one soon though.

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Oh, definitely! I would love to know more about make-up from a professional.

Are you clumsy in putting on make up?
Sometimes! Especially when it comes to mascara. The amount of times I poke myself in the eye....

Name a make up crime that you hate?
Massive block brows! They look terrible.

Do you like colourful shades of make up (lipstick, eye shadow) or neutral ones?
Yeah I do. I like to be bolder on the eyes though.

Which celebrity always has great make up?
Cheryl Cole, isn't she gorgeous?!

If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Mascara! My eyes look so small without it because I have blonde lashes.

Could you ever leave the house without any make up on?
As sad as it sounds, probably not. I feel way more confident with make-up.

Do you think you look good even without any make up on?
Not really. I hate my skin as I always suffer with breakouts.

In your opinion, what is the BEST make up line?
Ooh this is impossible to choose because I love so many products from different brands! I'm gonna say Rimmel because their foundations are good and so are most of their products.

What do you think of make up?
I love it. It gives me a creative outlet and makes me feel 100% more confident about myself. I'm so obsessed with the beauty industry and I've finally found a hobby! A rather expensive one, but a hobby nonetheless...

I tag everyone who hasn't done this tag before! It was really fun and I haven't seen it floating around before. If you do the tag Tweet me at @fpressedbeauty because I would love to see your answers.

Beauty Wish List | August

Today is another wish list! When I have no money I want everything and when I have money I struggle to find things that I want... The human brain, ey? Today I will be sharing with you five things on my beauty wish list.
Oh UD Naked Smoky, how I wish to own you. I love smoky eyes so this new release from Urban Decay is right up my street, the packaging is the best so far! Yes, that is another eye shadow palette but it is a bargain from the drugstore. Makeup Revolution's Flawless Matte has all the crease shades you could ask for and then some more, perfection! How beautiful are the NARS Dual Intensity Blushes? I have my eyes on Adoration.  After seeing Miss Budget Beauty's video on New Look Make-Up I want to try just about everything, their lip pencils look like a great dupe for NARS. Last on my wish list is Soap & Glory's Dr Spot, I've heard great things about this product zapping zits and helping them on their way.
What's on your wish list?
