Primark Longwear Mineralised Foundation | Review

Primark are having a moment right now with their beauty range, the range has a great selection of products for different skin tones, types and different products. The PS…Pro Longwear Mineralized Foundation has really caught my attention.

Priced at an affordable £5, the PS…Pro Foundation is housed in a sleek glass bottle with a handy black pump. The shade porcelain is perfect for my pale complexion and I find I don’t need to lighten it with NYX’s Foundation Mixer in White.

The consistency is quite thick but it blends out effortlessly. My preferred application is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge. The coverage is medium-to-full and it’s definitely buildable. It looks flawless on the skin and easily lasts over eight hours, I probably wear mine from 6.30am until 8.00pm and it looks great, with a little shine creeping through.

It does resemble Estee Lauder Double Wear and that is my holy grail foundation. For £5 it really is worth a try!

*I picked up this foundation for £2 the other day!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette | Review

The internet is going mad for Anastasia’s latest release, the new Subculture eyeshadow palette and there are very mixed reviews. Today I’m sharing with you the sister to Subculture, Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette.

Complete with a sleek pink lid with magnetic closure, the Modern Renaissance palette features 14 shades from burnt oranges to raspberry pinks.

The colour selection is fantastic and this palette is any warm lovers dream (me!) The shades are easy to blend and are very pigmented. There is a little kick-back with this palette as the shades are a little powdery. I don’t find fallout to be a massive issue, with the darker shades I do my eyes first and then my base.

All of the shades are soft and buttery, it has to be my favourite eyeshadow formula. I use this palette pretty much every day and I’ve hit pan on several shades. Realgar is hands down my favourite shade, I love how complementary burnt oranges are to blue eyes.

I’m hesitant to try Subculture because of the negative reviews, but MR is definitely worth a try.

Have you tried the new subculture palette?

NYX #Nofilter Finishing Powder | Review

I'm always on the lookout for trying new products, especially powders as I go through them so quickly. I love that NYX has branched out into Boots as they're such a fab brand. Here's my review of their #nofilter Finishing Powder...

Housed in a sturdy black casing, the powder is finely milled and almost looks like a baked product. My only gripe with the packaging is that it doesn't contain a mirror, I love powder compacts that have a mirror as it's perfect for touch-ups.

The formula of the powder is buttery, soft and isn't powdery on the skin. It sets down my foundation perfectly and is great for touching up throughout the day. It's lightweight and doesn't add coverage which is fine for me as I wear a full-coverage foundation.

NYX offer many powders and I definitely want to try more!

My Favourite Beauty Trends

I'm a sucker for trends, especially within the beauty industry. If something new is released I have to have it. Today I'm sharing with you a couple of my favourite new beauty trends.
Pink and red eyeshadow have been a standout in eyeshadow palette recently. I love the contrast of the shades with my blue eyes, I'm a sucker for smoky eyes too. My favourite eyeshadow palette of the moment definitely has to be Anastasia's Modern Renaissance, the shades are stunning!
Next up is highlighted skin, I love the wet look and so many brands have released highlight pans/palettes. Makeup Revolution has some amazing highlighters at even better prices. I really want to splurge on ABH Nicole Gurriero Glow Kit or the Moonchild palette. So many decisions!
Perfectly manicured nails can add so much to an outfit and one of my favourite trends is nude, beige or greige nails. They look so classic and sophisticated. If it does start to chip of it's easily hidden too, win! Ellison's have released an eBook with Essie with their favourite trends and Essie have so many pretty nail polishes that I definitely need! You can buy Essie Nail Polish wholesale from Ellisons for cheaper than RRP.

Makeup Revolution Medium Brow Palette - Medium to Dark | Review

Makeup Revolution are one of my favourite brands and they have so many amazing products. Today I'm sharing with you one of my favourite products, their Medium Brow Palette - Medium to Dark.

Housed in their classic black packaging the brow kit features four brow shades, two waxes, a concealer, a highlighter, tweezers, a pencil and two brow brushes. It has everything you need to tame and perfect your eyebrows.

Three of the brow shades are cool-toned and one is warm-toned. Personally, I prefer cooler shades on my brows and these shades are perfect, I can mix and match to create my perfect shade.

I don't use the concealer but it would be perfect if you wanted to carve out your brows. I love the added extra with the highlighter - makes it easy to highlight under the brow bone.

I would be lying if I said the brow pencil, tweezers and brushes are handy because I have no idea where they are and just use my own (haha, anyone else?!). If you're traveling those extras would definitely come in handy!

It retails for an affordable £7.99 and comes in Light to Medium too.
