GUEST BLOGGER SARAH FOOTE: Top five summer lipsticks

Since those of you from the Northern Hemisphere are lucky enough to be heading into the warmer months, I thought I’d do a post on my top five lipstick shades that I love to wear during the summer (or any time I really feel like a pretty lip).

      MAC Crème Cup is a cult favourite shade among many beauty lovers, and for good reason! This is the most amazing nude shade for the summer! This is a cremesheen formula which I find nice and creamy with good colour payoff. It’s a nude pink shade with cool undertones. This is a much loved colour by me!

     NYX Hippie Chic is a matte, yellow-toned light pink colour. This is a gorgeous shade but it may not suit everyone since it does appear quite light on the lips. I personally love it and think it’s a really nice summer colour that is pretty unique within my collection. The matte formula does makes it more on the dry side so it may emphasize cracked lips if you don’t moisturise your lips prior to applying.

      Max Factor Magenta Divine is a lovely bright, warm candy pink. It’s a creamy formula that feels moisturising on the lips yet still packs a load of colour. This is a lovely everyday colour that would compliment most looks.

      Milani Flamingo Pose is such a nice bright coral pink. This lipstick is a beautiful creamy, smooth consistency with lots of pigmentation. This is my absolute favourite colour to wear to brighten up any summer make-up look. Love!

      Model Co Coachella Crush is a bright tangerine colour.  What a better time to sport a bright orange-red lip than during the summer? The formula is a long-lasting matte finish. These can be a little on the dryer side but the pigmentation is amazing and you can achieve completely opaque colour. Be sure to wear lip balm underneath!
