Lush Wish List

With my Lush stash nearly empty I need to pick up some more products from Lush. So today I'm sharing with you some of the bits I have my eye on...

With Christmas just around the corner - I know, the year is flying by so fast - I obviously have a few Christmas products on my wish list.

First up is Peeping Santa, look how cute it is! It's a fruity one with strawberry-sweet bergamot and geranium oils.

I've never tried a shampoo bar before but I've seen quite a few bloggers raving about them lately. Jason and the Argan Oil is rose jam scented, mmm!

I've always wanted to try Golden Wonder because it has little starts inside and it's shaped like a present! So perfect for Christmas and I bet it smells divine.

Bath melts are my favourite product from Lush as I love the way they leave my skin feeling so soft and smelling amazing. Last year they released Star Light, Star Bright and I loved that one. I hope Snow Angel is similar.

I'm a big fan of The Comforter Bubble Bar and Bah Humbug looks super similar with glitter and a liquorice scent, mm!

Intergalactic seems to be well-loved amongst bloggers and I just have to try it!

Is there anything on your wish list?

Lush Northern Lights Bath Bomb Review - #BigBlogmasProject2014 Day Six

After seeing a few YouTubers haul the Northern Lights bath bomb from Lush I just knew I had to try it. It is a lot bigger than normal bath bombs and I think you would be able to break it into two, but I just used the whole bath bomb in one bath.

"Escape into relaxation with this bath bomb that gives an impressive display no matter where you are in the world. As the ends fizz away, the middle slowly dissolves to reveal blue and neon green, turning your water into a calming jasmine and ylang ylang-scented swirling night sky scattered with stars. " (Lush website)

Northern Lights is one of the best bath bombs I have tried from Lush. It makes the bath a mixture of different colours and when it is done fizzing it leaves the water a lovely purple shade. It's quite similar to the Twilight bath bomb minus the sparkle.
It leaves your skin feeling and smelling amazing and I definitely recommend trying it and stocking up as it is a limited edition product.

LUSH The Comforter Bubble Bar: REVIEW

If you read last weeks haul you would have seen this wonderful product from Lush. Whilst I was at home for Easter I took full advantage of having a bath. This may sound a bit weird to you, but in our student house we don't have a bath and I loooove taking a bath!

Skincare wishlist by daniella-keating featuring The Body Shop

My skin is crying out for a proper skincare routine. Right now I just wash my face, whack some spot cream on, some eye cream and then moisturise. Oh I also use face masks. But my skin is so terrible right now I think it's time I thought about changing my skincare routine up a bit. These are a few favourites that have caught my eye.

The Body Shop Calming Toner, The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion scrub, La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil, Lush Cosmetic Warrior Face Mask.

I would love to here your recommendations as I'm looking for new products to try. My skin is dry with breakouts by the way.

Have you found a skincare routine that works for you?

Affordable Drugstore Haul

Hello lovelies and happy Easter! I hope you're all having a good bank holiday and eating lots of chocolate, I certainly am... Oooops. For Easter my grandparents kindly gave me £40 and instead of saving it I spent it on clothes and make-up yesterday...

I first went to Superdrug where I picked up this gorgeous NYC pallet for only £2.99. After hearing Lily Pebbles rave about an NYC pallet I had to try one for myself. Then I went onto Boots and spent the £4 on my Boots card, as it's three for two at the moment I picked up a Natural Collection lipstick, a black eyeliner and a gorgeous peach blush. Finally I went to Wilkinsons to pick up some toiletries and I also picked up some make-up, surprise surprise... I picked up a Collection 2000 Creme Puff Lip Cream and a their 6-hour wear lip gloss, I'm not sure if it does last that long but it tastes amazing. Anyway... On my shopping trip I also picked up two skirts and a top and by no surprisef a bubble bar from Lush may have made its way into my bag... (I have a slight obsession) The bubble bar I picked up was the Comforter, I'll be doing a review of this next week so stay tuned for that!

Have you picked up any bits lately?

Lush Golden Egg Bath Bomb: Review & Demo

Hello lovelies. Whilst my boyfriend was in Amsterdam with his family he picked up some treats for me in the form of a Lush Golden Egg bath bomb and a YSL lippie. Yeah just a really expensive lipstick, nothing too great (omg can we just take a second...) so you can imagine how excited I was when I opened that! But we will leave that for another post.

Golden Egg
The Golden Egg Bath Bomb is part of the Easter range from Lush, it's a big glittery egg and it smells delicious. It's a bath melt on the outside and the actual bath bomb is in the middle. So it's two products rolled into one! With orange oil, cocoa butter, olive oil and bergamot oil this product is designed to leave your skin smelling fresh, soft and moisturised

.

As the Golden Egg is very very glittery it can get a bit messy so I wouldn't play around with it before you put it in the bath as you'll get glitter everywhere! If you hate glitter I advise that you stay away from this because it's a whole lot of glitter...

Golden Egg cut in half
I cut mine up in half because I didn't want to use it all at once. I popped it into the bath and glitter immersed the water straight away. The glitter melted off into the bath first and the bath bomb then went to fizz on and create bubbles. This isn't like other bath bombs as it stays around for quite some time, which I find great because it turns the bath into a gorgeous gold colour. The pictures don't show off the true colour, it's much more vibrant.

I was in the bath for well over half an hour and the colour didn't fade at all, the glitter was still so shiny even when I got out. I'm sitting here just smelling myself because it smells so good! The scent is so sweet with a mixture of toffee and honey. My skin feels so nourished and soft and I'm glittery! Now it isn't too much so don't be put off but I love the glitter.

I can't wait to use my other half another day!

What have you tried from Lush's Easter collection?

REVIEW: Lush Mask of Magnanimity

If you have read my February favourites you would have seen this lovely product. I (well my boyfriend) bought it for me a month or so ago and I've only used half. I use it a few times a week, sometimes on my whole face and sometimes on problem areas. I have the 125g one and it cost £5.25 but you can buy the bigger 315g for £9.95. It may seem a tad expensive for a face mask but oh my, it's so so worth it!

I have very problematic skin and I get loads of breakouts, not acne but red, sore unsightly breakouts, yuk! I've always wanted to try a face mask and Lush are well-known for theirs, I picked up Mask of Magnanimity because it looked the best for my skins needs.

The mask can be used on your face, on your back, on your chest - basically anywhere you have spots. It contains peppermint oil which stimulates the skin, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin and evening primrose and aduki beans to ex foliate when you wash it off.

When the mask is on it feels very refreshing, like a breeze of cool air. It smells amazing, I love the smell of peppermint and just as well as this smells refreshingly pepperminty (that makes sense, right? Aha)

The thing I love the most is that when you wash it off it does gently ex foliate your skin so it saves you the job of doing it afterwards. When I've got a few breakouts that I want to reduce by the morning I wack this mask on and it soothes my skin and calms my spots. It really does work!

After I've scrubbed the mask off my skin feels so smooth, this mask is really a miracle worker. I might pick up the bigger pot next as I love it!

What is your favourite Lush face mask?

My First Lush Bath Bomb - Think Pink

I've never tried a bath bomb from Lush and I was dying to get my hands on one and pop it in the bath. So I bought one before I went home for the weekend. As we don't have a bath at our shared Uni house in Sunderland I had to wait before I went back to home to jolly old Leicester.

My boyfriend actually went into Lush by himself and bought me the bathbomb Think Pink and a face mask) the lady in Lush thought it was for him, aha! What a keeper ey?

I've never used a bath bomb but it was pretty straight forward. you pop it into the bath when you've ran it and watch it dissolve and then get in.

Think Pink Bath Bomb

The bath bomb quickly dissolved and left my bath so so pink! Pink is my favourite colour and I was so delighted to get in to a lovely smelling gorgeous pink bath.

I was worried that when I washed my hair the pink colour from the bath bomb would fade but it didn't. The pink lasted throughout my whole bath time (30 mins). It left me smelling great and I'd definitely recommend it!

What's your favourite bath bomb? I'd love to hear your recommendations!
