What's In My Make-Up Bag: Holiday Edition

As you're reading this post I will be on my way to the airport for my first ever holiday abroad to Tunisia with my boyfriend Michael. I'm so so excited!

Today I will be sharing with you my holiday make-up bag. Just a slight warning before you're like: "Oh my, you are taking way too much make-up!" I know I probably am but I am a serious over packer... I'd much rather take things with me then miss them later! As it is my first holiday I'm a tad clueless on the packing front too.

Let's start with base front. I am very self conscious without make-up so even in hot weather foundation is a must for me. To prime I'm taking L'Oreal's Lumi Magique and L'Oreal's Skin Perfection. For the mornings when Michael's rushing me to get ready so we can go for breakfast I will be using Maybelline's Dream Matte Mouse foundation. It gives great coverage and you can apply it quickly with your fingers. For the mornings when I have a bit more time and want a more natural finish is L'Oreal's True Match foundation. For the evenings if I need to redo my foundation I have NARS Sheer Glow, it's great coverage and it gives my skin an instant flawless look. Concealer wise I will be taking my trusty Collection concealer. To set that all into place I'll be using Maybelline's Matte Maker.

For blusher and contour I'm keeping it simple with my favourite blusher: MAC's Dainty and Topshop's Cream Blush in Flush. I couldn't go anywhere without my Sleek Face Form in Light. As you can see I love that highlighter. The contour is also great for my pale skin.

I've actually kept it quite simple with eyes. I'll be taking my LORAC Behind the Scenes eye primer, my LORAC Pro 2, Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and on Bronze, Maybelline's Master Duo eye liner and Maybelline's Colossal Waterproof mascara.

Lip products are my weakness... I have to have choice. I'm bringing two MAC lippies: Russian Red and Creme Cup. I'll also be bringing Rimmel's Kate Moss lipstick, 16 and Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in the shade Nude-ist. I love lip liners so I'll be taking MUA's in Red Drama and MaxFactor's Pink Princess. I'm never without a good lip balm too, Fair Squared's lip balm in Pomegranate will also be coming with me.

It will all be housed in my cute aztec print make-up bag from Wilkinson's.

What are your holiday make-up staples?

  1. Trust me, you'll probably wear about 3 items from these! If it's hot you certainly wont be wearing foundation or any face makeup for that matter! Enjoy your hols :-D
