GUEST BLOGGER LAUREN: Holy Grail Products

Hey guys! My name is Lauren and I blog on Cupcakes and Candyfloss Blog. When Daniella offered me the opportunity to create a guest blogpost I grabbed the opportunity with both hands because I would love to interact with you guys, her lovely and loyal readers.

I love make-up and if you are anything like me then you will too. The satisfaction of going to Boots, Superdrug or maybe even a high-end shop is thrilling (I experienced my first MAC visit earlier on this week and to check out my haul, click here).
In my opinion a holy grail product would have to be something that you use all of the time without fail. Something you can't live without. I've decided to approach this post a little differently and instead of just telling you the brand product names of my choice, I'm going to tell you about the make-up I can't live without and give examples of the brands I like to use.

Without fail everyday I have to have a base, I don't wear foundation, but I have recently opted for a BB cream. On school days I use a small amount of concealer to cover any blemishes/redness and set my face with a powder. Although this summer I have been wearing a minimal amount of BB cream, I just find that it just creates a flawless base without caking too much on (If you have any recommendations for a light coverage foundation please let me know because I would love to try one!).
I have been using Rimmel's 9 in 1 BB cream, Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer - perfect for covering blemishes and Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder - great for setting any base.

In terms of eyes, I usually lather on the mascara and maybe use a eyeliner pencil to line my upper lash line on school days. On weekends though, I really enjoy experimenting with eyeshadow, both matte and shimmery looks.

Instead of using an eyeshadow primer I use an eyeshadow pencil. I find they work just as well and give the colour of the eyeshadow a boost, especially if the eyeshadow colour you want to use is the same colour as the pencil.

I use Maybelline's The Falsies Mascara as it gives voluminous black lashes. I also use Rimmel's Lash Accelerator Mascara as that lengthens the lashes, Rimmel's Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in bronze. Rimmel's Eyeshadow Pencils which are really creamy and I enjoy to use a mixture of eyeshadow palettes.

For lips, I'm a neutral girl. I much prefer having a bold eye and a nude lip. Although, I prefer a pink nude than a brown nude. My favourite nude lipstick is the Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick in Belle which is a gorgeous sheer pink. For lip crayons I enjoy using Rimmel Colour Rush Balms- a long lasting pigmented lip colour.

Thank you so much for reading this post and I hope you enjoyed this post. I would love it if you could check out my blog.
